REASON FOR TREATMENT: Linda was diagnosed with Parkinson's eleven years ago. In the last two years before her trip to China, her condition started to deteriorate at a faster pace than it had before. Other medications and treatments had only had a limited effect on Linda so she decided to come to China for stem cell treatment.
DIAGNOSIS: Parkinson's Syndrome (stage II on Hoehn/Yahr scale).
BEGINNING OF TREATMENT: 7 January 2008
TREATMENT: Injection into the brain of retinal neural stem cells + 1 stem cell injections via lumbar puncture + nutritious stem cell cocktail treatment (intravenous).

When Linda arrived in China, her posture was slightly bent and she had trouble walking because of problems with her balance and coordination. She was also weak and had trouble lifting things. This was intensified because of rigidity in her back and arms. She also suffered from back and shoulder pain.
Linda endured tremors in her hands and held her hands clenched in a claw like position. Her speaking was slurred and very quiet and she did not sleep very well. Linda also exhibited unnatural facial expressions.
Linda explained that that most difficult thing for her to do was to get dressed and undressed; her husband had to help her with that. She also had a tendency to choke on her food when she ate.

After about a week after her injection, Linda started seeing improvements. She started expressing emotions in her face and her unnatural facial expressions were less frequent. Within a short period of time, Linda's sense of balance returned making it easier for her to walk. By the time that it was time for her to leave, her hands were unclenched and her legs were more relaxed than before.
After the injection, Linda could speak without slurring in a clear, loud voice. She was still somewhat weak but her movements were smoother and more controlled.
Linda was in high spirits when she left China and expressed hope that the stem cells would continue to lessen her symptoms.
