Felicia Nofianna - Cerebral Palsy
NAME: Felicia Nofianna
SEX: Female
COUNTRY: Indonesia
AGE: 10
DIAGNOSIS: Global Development Disorder

REASON FOR TREATMENT

Felicia's head size at birth was smaller than normal. Later, her parents have noticed that Felicia is not reaching her milestones at the same rate as her peers.

Felicia's learning capacity was very low. She started walking fairly well at the age of 5 years, however she still had some difficulties controlling her limbs.

Several years of physical therapy did not help improve her condition. Looking for an alternative treatment, Felicia's parents contacted Beijing Puhua International Hospital.

CONDITION BEFORE TREATMENT

Felicia experienced troubles with her digestive functioning.

At the age of 10 years old, Felicia still did not speak. She was very sensitive to sounds and even a light sound could wake her up at night, which disturbed her sleep functions.

Felicia could not fulfill any daily tasks alone, and is in need of constant assistance. A babysitter always assists her.

Felicia's response to the outside world is limited, and her cognitive functions are impaired. Felicia is suffering from lack of facial expressions, and it is difficult for her to concentrate and follow orders.

Upon admission, Felicia was uncooperative during the medical examinations. Felicia was also suffering from drooling.

Felicia could hold the feeding bottle but her movements are clumsy.

Although Felicia can walk independently, she presents with an unsteady gait. Felicia could not stand up from a sitting position.

METHOD OF TREATMENT

Cell Therapy implantations, Daily IV of medicines, neural nutrition and protection as well as Physical and Occupational Therapy sessions, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture

CONDITION AFTER TREATMENT

After undergoing Cell Therapy treatment, Felicia's overall condition has improved. At times she was able to communicate with her family by making new sounds.

More facial expressions were noted. Felicia got upset if she couldn't get the things she wanted, but once she received the food she liked, she could eat actively by herself.

One of the first improvements that Felicia's family have noted was that she was now able to follow orders given by her family or caregivers, most of the times, whereas she never had done that before the treatment.

During rehabilitation trainings, Felicia was now more cooperative.

Felicia's gait became steadier with better posture than before, and she can now stand up from a sitting position easily.

We are waiting to hear about Felicia's further improvements.
