REASON FOR TREATMENT
Wei Zhong Wang has experienced a stroke (cerebral haemorrhage), 8 months prior to being admitted into Beijing Puhua International Hospital. Despite the surgical treatment he underwent at the time of the stroke, Wei Zhong was in a vegetative state since that time, which prompted his family members to search for other types of treatment to improve his quality of life.
CONDITION BEFORE TREATMENT
At admission, Wei Zhong's general condition was poor; he was immobile and the only movements he was able to do by himself were opening and closing his eyes.
Wei Zhong's muscle tone was increased in all his four limbs and his responses to the neurological assessment during the neurological evaluation were abnormal.
In addition to his neurological dysfunctions, Wei Zhongs breathing has indicated that he was suffering from a lung infection.
METHOD OF TREATMENT
Cell Therapy implantations, Daily IV of medicines, neural nutrition and protection as well as Physical and Occupational Therapy sessions, Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture.
CONDITION AFTER TREATMENT
After four weeks treatment in our hospital, Wei Zhong's overall condition has gradually improved.
Although Wei Zhong continues to be in a vegetative state, significant improvements were noted in his responses to the neurological evaluation after undergoing Cell Therapy implantations. Wei Zhong's pupils became equal, with better reaction to light.
Wei Zhong's increased muscle tone in all four limbs was improved and his lung infection has cleared up.
Wei Zhong's family was very excited with the improvements achieved, and they will continue updating us on his development in the future. |
