REASON FOR TREATMENT
Cecilie was growing up healthy and achieving all her milestones and development tragets, up to the year when she turned 8 years old, when she was initially presented with a headache and high fever.
Cecilie had undergone a series of tests and was found to have an arachnoids' cyst, which needed to be removed surgically. After the removal of the cyst, Cecilie's condition continued to deteriorate, and she began suffering from frequent epileptic seizures, which eventually caused her to lose her ability to speak.
The recurring seizures and behavioral problems that Cecile have made Cecilie's mother to search for an advanced treatment out of their native Norway, and after a long research, they chose Cell Therapy treatment offered in Beijing Puhua International hospital.
Medical condition pre-Cell Therapy treatment
For five long years before Cell Therapy treatment Cecilie's seizures have caused a drastic change in her behavior. Cecilie was not able to say a single word, nor did she make eye contact or associate with people outside her close family members. Cecilie stopped smiling at all. She always maintained a stiff and straight body posture, while keeping her hands on her legs (even during her sleep). Cecilie was very sensitive and grew very nervous facing strangers.
Cecilie's could only sleep for 2-3 hours a day.
Upon admission, the medical team has noticed that Cecilie had no sensation or any facial expression, while drinking hot water. She lost sensitivity, and looked trapped in her own body.
METHOD OF TREATMENT:
Cell Therapy implantations, Daily IV of medicines, neural nutrition and protection as well as Physical and Occupational Therapy sessions, Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture.
Medical condition post-Cell Therapy treatment
After the Cell Therapy therapy, the frequency and the duration of Cecilie's epileptic seizures has significantly reduced.
Cecilie started speaking to her mom and sister soon after the first Cell Therapy treatment implantation.
During the treatment, Cecilie had become more cooperative with her therapy sessions. Cecilie's muscles became more flexible and relaxed, and she now shows more abilities during physical therapy. Her body posture has improved greatly, and she does not shy away from others as before.
According to her mother, she was now able to speak with other people; her social behavior with new people became more natural. She is now able to maintain longer eye contact with others and has more natural emotional face expressions. We were happy to see that she strated smiling again, and her mood has significantly improved.
Cecilie's sleep quality also significantly improved, and she now sleeps for 8-10 hours at night.
Cecilie's sensitivity has improved, as well as her blood circulation; now, when picking up a cup with hot water, she is able to feel that the content is too hot for drinking.
According to a follow up in February 2011:
Cecilie's epileptic seizures have become significantly less frequent. She has experienced seizures just twice since her return from China.
Her speaking abilities continue improving. Cecilie's mental clarity increased remarkably and she is now able to express herself much better than she was before the treatment. Her general condition has improved, and we are awaiting to hear further news from her and her family.
