REASON FOR TREATMENT:
After sustaining a brain injury during his delivery, Adrian was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Adrian is suffering from cognitive dysfunction, speech and mobility development disorders.
Before coming to Beijing Puhua International hospital, Adrian's mother had tried different kinds of treatment for Adrian, although they only had moderate results.
Not loosing hope to achieve a better quality of life for Adrian, his family came to a decision to come for Cell Therapy treatment to China.
CONDITION BEFORE THE TREATMENT:
Adrian's condition allowed him to have a rather independent life, as he did not require assistance with his daily activities.
He was also able to walk and even run by himself, however, he was not able to keep a steady balance and had poor coordination in his movements.
Adrian could not speak with complete sentences but a few simple words only, such as Manna, Pappa, Bi instead of Bil(car), and his speech was unclear. Adrian's speech did not allow him for clear communication with people outside his family.
Both Adrian's eyes are impaired by nystagmus (involuntary eye movement), and in addition, Adrian has very poor eyesight and he is hearing impaired on both sides.
Adrian has problems with his concentration, which worsens his learning ability. At the age of 16, although Adrian knows letters and numbers, he is not able to write or read.
According to an IQ test Adrian had undergone two weeks before coming for treatment in our hospital, his intelligence level was on level of an eight-year-old child.
METHOD OF TREATMENT:
Cell Therapy implantations, Daily IV of medicines, neural nutrition and protection as well as Physical and Occupational Therapy sessions, Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture.
CONDITION AFTER TREATMENT:
After treatment, Adrian's condition has improved remarkably.
The most significant improvements were noticed in his language. He is now able to say more than 100 new words, including some nouns, verbs and adjectives, as well as a few complete sentences, such as "How are you?" and "What is this?"
After his first Cell Therapy implantation, Adrian became more active and vigorous, with milder temper.
Adrian can now focus and keep his attention while studying, which was measured during a 30 minutes-long speech therapy class.
Adrian and his mother have also noticed a change for the better in Adrian's vision.
Adrian's gait became straighter, with more natural walking posture. The balance achieved helps him to walk more steadily.
Adrian and his mother are very satisfied with the results of treatment and are looking forward to coming again for achieving new results soon.
Follow up:
6 months after his discharge, his mother updated us that Adrian's eyesight improved a lot, so he can now watch TV without glasses!
His language capabilities keep improving and the level of his communication with other people is much higher.
