REASON FOR TREATMENT:
Yahya was growing up as a happy and healthy child, up until he fell on his back at the age of three and hurt his back. Shortly after the incident Yahya began limping on his leg. After that, Yahya began loosing his balance and eventually lost the ability to stand and walk unassisted.
Condition before treatment:
Although Yahya's mental condition remained intact, his speech got slower and he could no longer control salivation. After consulting with doctors in his native Lybia, who could not decide on the right course of treatment for Yahya, his family has decided to bring him for treatment in Beijing Puhua hospital, for the opportunity to improve his quality of life.
Before coming for treatment, Yahya was diagnosed a suffering from weakness since the age of 4 years. The weakness is more pronounced in Yahya's lower limbs.
Although Yahya was cooperative during the examinations, all his actions were weak and slow. Muscle tone was relatively low in the upper limbs and increased in lower limbs. Muscle volume was decreased in all four limbs. Alternative movements were clumsy on both sides. Yahya presented with scissor gait, and had difficulties moving his eyes.
Yahya's speech was slurred with low voice since age of 6 years. He experiences difficulties with calculation, however, for the most part, his cognitive functions remain intact.
Treatment method:
Cell Therapy implantation, activation of neural cells via a daily supply of neurotrophic factors, daily rehabilitation and occupational therapy sessions, and daily Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments.

After the treatment, Yahia's eyes movements became more flexible and muscle tone in lower limbs has improved. His control of upper limbs and trunk enhanced as well as the muscle strength. The scissor gait has improved.
Alternative movements became faster and his movement became more fluid. Yahya is now able to conduct the movement test more precisely.
Yahya's energy levels have increased and he is now more active than before, which allows him to participate in physiotherapy more actively. His sleep quality has improved as well.
Yahya's father, Khaled, was happy to see improvements in the movement range of his son, and he also notice that Yahya was able to bend his knees following the treatment.
The most significant change occurred when Yahya stood by himself for the first time in 4 years. He is now able to walk with assistance for a distance of about 80 meters. During physiotherapy, Yahya is also able to move forward on his knees without assistance.
Yahya's speech became faster, and clearer to understand.
