CONDITION BEFORE THE TREATMENT: Namhee was diagnosed with MSA, and her primarily complaints were a loss of balance, slurred speech, wide gait, bowel and urinary problems and depression. During the last year, Namhee's condition has deteriorated so rapidly, that she was no longer able to lift things on her own or write. She has lost confidence in walking outdoors, which has resulted in walking with the help of a cane or a walker. She reported feeling tired all the time. Namhee's condition consisted from an array of neurological conditions, for which the medical team in Tiantan Puhua hospital had prepared treatment protocol consisting of nutrients for the neural system delivered via a daily IV (which improve blood circulation and activate neural cells), combined with physic rehabilitation therapy and traditional Chinese medicine. Namhee's sister has researched stem cell treatment on the internet, and they both decided that getting stem cell treatment in Tiantan Puhua hospital would grant Namhee a chance to improve her quality of life.
AFTER THE TREATMENT: Interveiw After.wmv PT 01.wmv, PT 02.wmv, PT 03.wmv,
Namhee was accompanied for treatment by her sister and her brother in law, which has proved to be an amazing support system for her. They have prepared a chart of all of Namhees symptoms, and watched as the chart has changed throughout the treatment, symptoms becoming more controllable and less noticeable. Namhee was reporting about changes in her condition almost every day. Her speech has improved; it has become clearer after the first neural stem cells injection into the cerebral spinal fluid she had received. Dizziness, balance and gait all improved, and she regained some of the confidence lost in past year in walking outside without the aid of a cane or a walker. Namhee's syncopal events are fewer now than in the past. Her control in her limbs is more confident, and her energy levels are higher than before. Namhee returns home awaiting further improvements, and maybe returning for a second treatment in the future. |
