REASON FOR TREATMENT: Edin was injured in a car accident while he was on a trip to Italy. Following the accident, he was paralyzed from the waist down. After a long rehabilitation and physical therapy, he was finally able to manage bowel movement and urination but in order to achieve more results he decided to come to China for stem cell treatment

In 2002, Edin was in a car accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. He did not have any sensation, nor could he move. Physical therapy had given him sensation between his waist and his hips so he was able to control his bowel movements but for the last three years his condition had not changed beyond that. He was confined to a wheel chair and was still without sensation or the ability to move his legs beyond small twitches.

CONDITION AFTER THE TREATMENT:

After treatment Edin saw significant improvement, especially in his left side. He was able to move his foot and leg both sideways and backwards/forwards.  He was also able to move his right leg sideways. When lying down. He could bend his left knee and move his foot back towards him and his sensation had moved down further so that he was now able to feel his leg down past his knee on his left side and just before his knee on the right side. In practice, this would make it easier for him to continue to build strength in his leg muscles and it enabled him to actually stand and move slowly with a walker instead of being confined to a wheel chair.
Edin will go home and continue his physical therapy and hopes to be able to retain complete sensation in his legs in the future.
