Penny visits on Oct 21st, 2009:
Penny has returned to the hospital three and a half years after undergoing the first stereotactic hRPE stem cells direct brain injection. This time Penny did not come for treatment, but to support a friend-Richard Jewell, who has decided to undergo stem cell treatment in Beijing Tiantan Puhua hospital.

Penny's visit to Beijing has presented us with a wonderful opportunity to catch up with Penny, and follow up on her current condition.
Following the treatment, Penny has experienced a few difficult months back home, dealing with her medications, adjusting the dosages and slowly gaining more control over her symptoms. Looking back on the last 3.5 years, Penny sees a path to healing. She has not achieved a cure, however stem cell treatment has enabled her to regain some of the control over her body that was lost to the disease.
Nowadays Penny is able to have more control over her body, and she is confident that it was achieved due to stem cells treatment, on her continuous journey at fighting Parkinson's disease.
