On August 17, 2007, Jackie Murphree was struck by a drunk driver while driving her car.
Jackie's brain shifted due to the impact of the crash, and she suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Jackie slipped into a coma and remained in a catatonic state for several months. After Jackie came out of coma, she was left with severe motor disabilities.
In April 2009, Jackie came to China for stem cell treatment that was funded entirely with community donations. Jackie's community has raised money to see her get well in China, and come back home having improved her quality of life through stem cell implantation.
